Large Turnouts for Magnet Open House

Over 30 Families turned out for our Magnet Open House on Thursday, Jan. 21st. Visitors were treated to a tour of the school, individual classrooms, and a question and answer session. We had a very good group of perspective parents and they loved what they saw!

To date, over 120 families have toured Joyner as a magnet choice for their children.

UNC and Worldview

JYJ will be featured in a video production on Technology, Foreign Language, and Global Education by UNC and Worldview to air sometime this Spring. A crew was here Friday to interview Mr. Knott and David Ansbacher, Wake County Director of Magnet Schools, as well as to film student work samples, classroom work, and grade level teacher meetings.

Character Ed. Night a HUGE Success!

Despite heavy rains, over 400 Joyner family members came out to our Character Ed. Night and First Grade Performance.

With the efforts of our students, families, staff, and community we have once again made a big difference for those in need.

Character Ed. Night is Thursday!!!

Character Ed. Night is coming this Thursday!!! It is always a big night for JYJ and this year our 1st graders will be kicking things off with a Major Performance! Stay tuned for more information including a schedule of events!
