Welcome our New to 5th Grade Teacher

Jennifer Bell will be moving from 4th grade to 5th grade with her class this year! Ms. Bell is one of the most creative teachers we have ever had at Joyner and we are excited about her moving to 5th grade. She is also a veteran Middle School teacher, so she knows what it takes to get students ready for Middle School.

Welcome Amanda Kilburn or New Spanish Teacher!

About Sra. Kilburn
I live in Raleigh with my two daughters. I have lived and worked in Spain for many years and have traveled in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Guatemala . I have a real love of the Spanish language and culture and am enthusiastic about imparting that to my students.

I received a Bachelor’s from UNC Chapel Hill in International Studies and a Masters Degree at USC Columbia in International Business Studies. After years running a business in Spain and raising a family, I realized my passion was in education and trained with the NC Teach program at UNC to receive my teaching certification.

Amanda also is a National Board Certified Teacher.
