Buffaloes Restaurant-Great Place for Lunch! Named after an infamous runaway buffalo (His name was Bill and he, well at least part of him, is mounted over the fireplace) who swam from Bull Island to get to the rich rice fields of Bluffton. He became aggressive with the local farmers, so he ended up on the wall of the local restaurant.
This church is a very popular spot for weddings. Just behind the church is the May River.
There are many vacation cottages for rent, ranging from the more quaint like pictured above.
To the more ornate as pictured here.

Just off the beaten path in Bluffton, SC is a hidden treasure in the village resort of Palmetto Bluff. Palmetto Bluff is a very upscale resort village beside the May River with an 18 hole golf course and a championship equestrian center. Recent buyers in Palmetto Bluff include Oprah Winfrey and Tiger Woods.

Who thought golf was a dangerous sport?
The little white things in the picture aren't eggs, they're golf balls. While golfing at the Sea Pines Heron Point Course, my ball came to rest with several others near a fairly large alligator. Needless to say, I left my golf ball with the gator.

Happy Fourth of July
We are enjoying our week at Sea Pines on Hilton Head Island. Our house is on the 10th hole of the Ocean Course and we have some interesting neighbors.
